Q. How are you different from other sushi caterings?

A. Shiro's Sushi sends a professional sushi chef to your site. The chef will prepare sushi and interact with you and your guests.

Q. When do I need to make a reservation?

A. The earlier the better but we'd like to have at least 14 days for catering and 72 hours for delivery. If the party is large, we'd like to have 3 weeks to better prepare.

Q. Do you have a minimum order for a catering?

A. The minimum order is $1,000. This price includes 4 hours of a professional chef's time (1 hour of preparation, 2 hours at your site and 1 hour of a round trip to and from your site), a sushi showcase, all garnishments (wasabi, ginger, chopsticks, napkin, etc.) in addition to actual sushi and sashimi ingredients.

Q. How many guests may I invite within the minimum order?

A. It depends on your invitees and what we serve. In general, it is more than sufficient to satisfy 5 to 6 adults with sashimi and sushi.

Q. Can I decide on the items since I have preference for certain food?

A. By all means. Let us know your preferences beforehand. We will collaborate with you to perfect menu according to your budget.

Q. May I use my own plates at home for presentation?

A. Yes, you may. Just let us know your request at the time of the estimate. We will personalize your party by using your own plates.

Q. We are going to have a wedding reception at a hotel. Is it possible for you to cater sushi for this reception?

A. It certainly is. We may visit the reception site beforehand.

Q. Is there anything that I need to prepare before your arrival on the catering day?

A. Nothing unless you would like us to use certain plates or utensils.

Q. What happens if there's an increase or a decrease in the number of the guest count?

A. The earlier you can inform us, the better we will be able to accommodate the adjustment. Allow us at least 3 days so that we can make the adjustment.

Q. How do I pay you?

A. 50% of the entire bill at the end of the completion of your reservation. The remaining balance is due 2 days prior to the event date. We accept cash, personal or company check, or major credit cards (Master card, Visa, American Express, JCB Card and Diner's Club).
